| DOVES RETURN TO
AUSTRALIA IN JUNE
In 2000, Doves delivered a total head turner of a debut album 'Lost Souls' - which immediately set in stone the Doves sound monumental and epic yet grounded in rumbling sub-bass and bone shaking drum tracks. Equally, they nodded towards the musical heritage of Manchester, from Morrissey & Marr to New Order and the collective sound of Factory Records. This debut album was followed up by the masterpiece 'The Last Broadcast' in 2002. After spending two weeks at #1 in the UK and scoring itself a Mercury Music Prize nod, the world had fallen in love with this three-piece from Northern England whose songs were often an expression of everyday dreams spoken in the universal language of music. Now, three years on, with a new album 'Some Cities' under their wings, gifted songwriters and sound smiths Doves return to our shores to deliver their rare breed of sweetly hopeful and soaring guitar anthems for the first time since the winter of 2002. Taking in the East Coast, they¹ll play club shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this June to showcase their new material and relive some of the old. Live, Doves create a unique sound that actually seems to spin right around your head as it played out. Pushing the envelope, they¹ve created a sound so powerful and soulful it leaves you wondering how it managed to contain itself in the first place. Tickets are on sale Friday April 29th. Special guests to be announced. DOVES 'SOME CITIES' TOUR DATES THURSDAY 9TH JUNE - TIVOLI THEATRE, BRISBANE FRIDAY 10TH JUNE - THE METRO THEATRE, SYDNEY TUESDAY 14TH JUNE - THE FORUM THEATRE, MELBOURNE 'Snowden', the second single to be taken from their illustrious album 'Some Cities', goes to radio April 18. |

NEW SHOWS ADDED TO HENRY ROLLINS TOUR
Due to overwhelming popular demand, Feel Presents can announce the
addition of three (3) brand new spoken word performances by Henry Rollins
on his 'Shock And Awe... My Ass' tour this May.
The new shows will take place in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne where
performances announced last month are either sold out or very close to it.
In fact the 'Shock and Awe... My Ass' tour has seen the biggest opening
ticket sales since Rollins first performed in Australia. Rollins will now
perform a third show in Sydney and Melbourne, while in Brisbane he will
perform a second night at the Tivoli.
NEW SHOWS Tickets for new Rollins shows (except Brisbane) are on sale Thursday
April 21st from the outlets listed below. Tickets for the second Brisbane
show are on sale NOW. All performances commence at 8.00pm sharp.
Rollins caught up with the real Shock And Awe operation in recent
travels to Iraq and Afghanistan as well as visits to Qatar and Kuwait. .
While Rollins has been a vocal critic of President Bush’s foreign policy,
that hasn’t stopped him from enthusiastically supporting American troops
overseas.
Those experiences performing for troops will form part of the basis for
the material on the Shock And Awe shows, but as always expect Rollins to
add levity with tales of life on the road and in L.A. and finding
absurdity in even the most solemn events.
It’s his ability to shift effortlessly from the somber to the farcical
that leaves audiences as intrigued as ever. Curious? Then what are you
waiting for? Don’t miss the always outspoken Henry Rollins on his 'Shock
And Awe... My Ass' tour this May.
